0 Yahoo mail configuration in outlook 2010

 Setting up Yahoo Mail in Outlook 2010

  1. In Outlook 2010, click the File tab.
  2. Select Info | Add Account.
  3. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
  4. Click Next
  5. Select Internet E-mail.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter the following information:
    • User Information
      • Your Name - Enter your name as you’d like it to appear on sent messages.
      • E-mail Address - Enter your full Yahoo Mail address (like example@yahoo.com).
    • Server Information
      • Account Type - Select POP3.
      • POP server settings - Refer to the POP settings for Yahoo Mail.
      • Logon Information:
        • User Name - Enter your Yahoo ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
        • Password - Enter your Yahoo password.
      • To be prompted for your password each time you check your mail, deselect Remember password.
      • Leave Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unselected.
  8. Click More Settings.
  9. In the "Mail Account" field, enter your desired account name (like My Yahoo Mail account).
  10. Click the Outgoing Server tab:
    • Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    • Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  11. Click the Advanced tab:  
    • POP port settings: Refer to the POP settings for Yahoo Mail.
    • Leave a copy of messages on the server
      • Checked - Saves your messages from the Yahoo Mail server and on your computer
      • Unchecked - Deletes your messages from the Yahoo server once Outlook has downloaded them to your computer
         Important: After your messages are deleted from our servers, we're unable to recover them.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Click Finish.
  15. Restart Outlook.
  16. Click Send/Receive All Folders to start receiving emails from your Yahoo Mail account in Outlook 2010.
